Bellaby is designed for children from 18 months of age, when the first signs of potty-training readiness appear (interest in the potty, staying dry for 2 hours, discomfort with a dirty diaper). Size S fits children starting at 8 kg (17.6 lb). The ideal potty training window usually begins between 24 and 32 months, but every child develops at their own pace, and Grandi fits children up to age 6 (XL).

For the active potty training phase (2–4 weeks), plan on 5 to 8 pairs of training pants. Children typically have 3–6 accidents per day during the first week, then this gradually decreases. With 5 pairs, you can do laundry every other day; with 8 pairs, you're all set. During the consolidation phase, 3–4 pairs are enough.

The inner absorbent layer holds up to 120 mL, about the equivalent of one to two small urinations. It's perfect for gradual leaks ("dribblers"). For one large full pee all at once, a small leak may occur. This is normal—and even intentional—because it creates the learning signal for your child.

Quickly rinse with cold water after use, then machine wash at 104°F (40°C) maximum. Use a mild detergent and avoid fabric softener (it reduces absorbency). Air drying is ideal, although tumble drying on low heat also works. The training pants withstands 200+ washes without losing its performance.

Nighttime potty training is a separate biological process from daytime potty training and typically happens 6–12 months later. Don't rush it. During daytime training, continue using disposable diapers at night. A dedicated Grandi Night collection is planned for 2026.

You have 60 days to exchange your order free of charge, even if the training pants has been washed. Just email us at contact@bellaby-us.com. Returned training pants is donated to organizations that support families in need. You can still exchange them several months later if your child outgrows them.
